Angel of The Night: Optimus/Blackarachnia & Goliath/Demona Parallels

Video clips of TFA Optimus & Blackarachnia overlaid with Goliath & Demona dialogue from "Gargoyles". This is a re-edit of my earlier "Parallels: Optimus & Blackarachnia and Goliath & Demona" video. I've rearranged all the comparison images to come at the end of the video now.

TFA Blackarachnia always reminded me of Demona from the 90s show "Gargoyles". They are both tragic female characters that once had close relationships with the heroes (Optimus and Goliath) but then, through hate and distrust, became enemies with their former friend/mate.

And like Goliath to Demona, Optimus pities and hopes for a return to goodness in Blackarachnia.

It's an odd coincidence also that Optimus share's Goliath's blue face colour and Elita-1 has a turquoise face and body colour reminscent of Demona's skin colour too.

"Transformers: Animated" is the property of Hasbro and Cartoon Network.
"Gargoyles" is the property of Disney.

What also interesting when you think of it the parallel between Optimus' crew and Goliath's clan. Goliath and Optimus are the leaders, Hudson and Rachet are the older and wiser of the group, Broadway and Bulkhead are the big ones, and Lexington and Bumblebee are the small ones. The only one that doesn't fit is Brooklyn and Prowl but they are kind of the same in the way that they are both second in command. Of course Bronx has no one on TFA side but that doesn't matter.

@AnnMarieRogue Interesting comparisons. The team leader, the capable second-in-command, the small and spunky guy, the big but sensitive guy and the old, wise one are common members of cartoon hero teams. Brooklyn and Prowl may not be similar in terms of personality, but you could say they both carry a lot of weight on their shoulders; Prowl with being a cyber-ninja and Brooklyn with being 2nd-in-command. And I suppose you could equate Bronx with Sari in that they're both 'pets' to the teams.
