Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers.

i moved to California in 1979 from Paris and looked forward to the lovely california golden boiled rice available everywhere in open markets in Paris. However all I found in California was broken chinese white rice. Calif golden rice was cheap in France and but not available at all in California except as the expensive Uncle Ben's. Later I found out that rice was shunted around from country to country so people at the stock market could make big bucks. . Homegrown sounds good to me .

@Pan3405 I think Neil just assumed Willy would keep up better. Not to impune Willy, of course. He is gettin up there in years. Also, Neil could have just told him the chord progression before they started. It's not a tough song. I think that would've helped a lot :)
