  • Beautiful guitar. Have you fitted a Mastery bridge on it? I have a Costello signature, and I'm wondering if I should buy the mastery. I've just mounted a buzzstop, but I'm not completely satified with it?

  • @MrThareide We have a Mastery bridge, it works perfect !

  • thank you thank you thank you for just showing us a good thorough run through of the different pickup settings and tone differences without a bunch of blabbering. THIS is how a you tube demo video should be.

  • @MrThareide

I used about 3 wraps of teflon tape and that stiffened things up for me.

  • great job man! I love your guitar.

  • How do you like the mastery bridge? I want to put it in my jagstang. but 175 bucks is a lot in my opinon. And can you palm mute with it well?

  • @MrThareide Put some clear nail polish on the grub screws. If you need to remove it to facilitate adjustments, simply use nail polish remover and then re-apply the nail polish. Works for me.

  • @nsguitar I've mounted the masterybridge on my costello jazzmaster, but the height-adjustment screws still keeps dropping when I play. Any advise?

  • Were these Novaks a full on custom wind? how hot did you go?

  • @MrThareide It's amazing. You'll want to ditch the buzzstop straight. I find that notes ring out clearer, there's more sustain (not usual a signature JM trait) and my bridge pup sounds more defined. You still get the sympathetic frequencies behind the bridge too. It isn't cheap, but I would never have an offset without one. Only downside could be that if you use a lot unconventional tunings, it may not intonate properly with them. So far I have found most conventional and open tunings work fine.

  • great!
