Recently a 4th grader from New Orleans asked President Obama this question: "How come so many people hate you?". Have we become a more racist nation since the election of President Obama? Why have so many expressions of hate and racist attitudes come to the forefront - and more importantly, how do we get it to stop? We'll talk about racism since the election of our President with Vivian Paige and Bev Sell, founders of Norfolk United Facing Race; John Johnson, Executive Director of the Hampton Citizen's Unity Commission; and Bill Thomas of Hampton University. hahahaha, you got to admit, some of these acts of racism were funnny, especially the watermelon jokes.

Except for the rifle and pastor part, the rest of the "acts or racism" were really just acts of speech.

but all the president get made fun of, look at bush, they made fun of him because he was retarded.

They make fun of obama because he is black.

people are just mean to each other, its always been that way.

Racism is definately alive and well in our society, regretfully; however, sometimes people read too much into the opinions and comments of others. Every ethnic group has a large percentage of idiots, and the intellectual approach is to ignore their foolishness, not empower it.
