One of the earliest recordings made by means of the "new" electric technique with their characteristic sound for that period by the exquisite Polish "Jazz" Orchestra organised and directed by an outstanding musician, Henryk Gold for Syrena Record Ltd.
"That's you, Baby" (by mistake denoted on the label as "That's Your Baby"), originally a great 1929 hit of the American female singer, Annette Hanshaw.

A short vocal Chorus in Polish recording made by - standing a bit too far from the microphone -
Tadeusz Faliszewski.

Sound transfer from the 78rpm original - without any
modification.

  • Jolly cheerful tune and lovely singing, but it is the exquisite orchestration of this supreme bandleader which makes this recording so special.

  • ...nearly one can feel how happy they must have been when playing this

Danke (und Bitte !), Herr Daniel.

  • Thank you for YOUR stars - this way.

I am pleased very much of your knowing artists (Kiepura included !) from my country.

Perhaps in this way, the most safe

    bridges between countries may be

    erected.

    All the best, M. !

  • Schlagsahne schmeckt mit so wie so nicht ... !

Und ein schönes Wochenende wünsch ich Ihnen auch, Herr Jerzy .

  • Fox Foolies of 1929!

The movie title of this Hollywood movie, where this great melody was performed. One of the very early sound movies. Great recording with Henryk Gold's Orchestra. He and his brother Artur were brilliant musicians!
