Smoke Gets In Your Eyes

Looked for the Kathryn Grayson version and was surprised that it wasn't there. Anyway here is an old videotape recording. Quality not very good but passable (beggars can't be choosers)

They called her Kathryn the Great, and that she was. I e-mailed her on her birthday. Part of what I said- Its says you were born Feb 9th, 1920. Of course I do not believe that. You are an angel who appeared one day to grace a very troubled world. You are not only beautiful but sing even better. Thank you for sharing yourself with us. She decided to go back to the Heavens.Their gain is our lose. Move over Angels there is another one coming . Bless you and RIP Kathryn

Agreed. I havent seen many of her movis outside of Kiss Me Kate and Showboat but I've always liked her and I am saddened to hear of her passing. RIP Kathryn Grayson.

This movie was totally terrible compared to the origional w fred and ginger and irene dunne. The only reason I watched the whole thing was because of Mrs. Grayson. she was a wonderful lady and a bright star. She's perfect in every film and, when I heard of her passing, it was one of the few times I've cried over a film stars death. She gave so much joy to so many people. I think she carried this film all by herself.

TCM broadcast "Lovely to Look At" today, July 18th, Red Skelton's birthday, and Kathryn Grayson's interpretation of this song done for the movie is absolutely beautiful. I'd never heard her sing it before nor seen the movie, and I was very much taken with both! Thank you for posting this video clip.
