Grade 2 students at Ecole Margaret Jenkins in Victoria, BC share their thoughts and artwork after viewing Dr. Birute Galdikas' film "Born To Be Wild". The class saw the movie as part of a project on social responsibility, and came up with original cartoons to express how they felt about the palm oil industry, which continues to endanger the orangutan habitat in Indonesia.
Acknowledgements from Div. 10 teacher, Mme Hunt:
"We thank our parents who love us and take care of us. We thank Dr Galdikas for her work with the orangutans and for her inspiration. We thank Duncan O'Brien and Marita Buscombe, who produced this video. We thank Ken Harper and Mark Albany who helped us think differently about our world. We thank Mr Parker and all our teachers for supporting our projects and our creativity. We thank the planet for providing us with what we need to live here. In joy and with all our gratitude, Mme Hunt and Div.10"

Fantastic job, thanks for doing this; i've been avoiding palm oil for a few years now too since i learned about this, it's so important to protect habitat for orangutans and other animals - nicely done!
