As that little song from Lord of the Rings goes: The road goes ever on and on, back to the place where it began...

I've been pushing myself to explore the fretboard more, to play chord forms in spots up the neck. Here I am after a night's practice with Boil em cabbage down using C F and G in various spots on the neck. I don't pick the most efficient box to play in, but that's on purpose, it's mainly an exercise for me to find these spots quickly than anything else.

It's not pretty, but I put this video up to help encourage more pickers to try it. We're all going to stink at first moving up the neck, it's ok! I feel like I've just picked up the banjo all over again and can barely keep up with a simple tune that I've started with, hence the song above.

Anyway, I plan to improve in this area, but I wanted there to be a record of how rough it is at first.
