@liveforrock1 You can find them used reasonable. I wouldn't go directly to the company to get one made any longer. If they have one off the rack, you might be able to get a deal. I got one off the rack and one used, but had a lot of trouble with them on a guitar order, and now I have a guitar that I have a lot of trouble with because it's not right.
Used is best, their rep is holding down the used value of their instruments - makes for a good buy.
I THINK OUT OF ALL THEM FIDDLES YOU PLAYED, THE 'IBANEZ J-45' HAD THE FULLEST ROUNDEST SOUND, WITH LOADS OF SUSTAIN, AND THE PINCH HARMONICS WERE ASTOUNDING. WHAT KIND OF AMP WERE YOU PLAYING THROUGH?
That banjo sounds really clean. The fender didn't sound as good. But I think the Gibson Earls Scruggs Golden Deluxe sounded the brightest.. Oh and there's a mandolin in the tuba. lol
I own a Crafters of Tennessee Mahogany Classic. I love the sound of the mahogany banjos, more mellow with a bit of a pop. I got mine back when they were cheaper. Check out the prices now!! Great American company!
