the delay is due to a cosine being a quarter of a cycle ahead of a sine wave at there relative origin.

wow they sort of copy each other, but every time i try to cross check them i see them slightly differently, i'm a 3d artist/effects student so my only familiarity with sin and cos apart from secondary school is fro making random wave effects

I have a question for everyone - which image do you prefer - the left of the right?
I find myself drawn to the right one. It seems strange that I might like one better than the other.

wow ! I've seen videos and made a plate driver myself but it never shows this clear patterns! How did u get the chladni simulation program??
