I (sadly) never saw the show while it was running, didn't even know it existed. This trailer was my introduction to the 'verse. It was one of the few times I've sat up during previews and said, "omg I have to see that." So I did, as soon as it was out. By the next week, I owned the series on DVD. I've never loved a show quite the way I love Firefly. (and it was a gateway drug to other Whedon goodness I missed the first time around.)

*sigh* This video still makes me sit up and grin excitedly.

If there is a tiny glimmer of hope that the show gets back, the only thing I'll be sad about is there won't be a Wash or Preacher :C as much as I don't want Serenity to be canon the other part of me says this is a Firefly movie that deserves to be canon.

It was ahead of its time. Everyone loves Firefly now, but it wasn't very popular back in 2002.

Serenity es una película de Joss Whedon basado en el serie de televisión, Firefly. Es una película de ciencia ficción, pero también tiene elementes de Western, suspense, y comedia. Examina preguntas profundas como qué significa a ser humano o libertad, cuando una guerra está terminado por los soldados que perdieron, y si es posible o recomendado a cambiar la raza humana para hacerlo mejor. El dialogo y el actuación son maravillosos, y es muy divertido a compartir en el entusiasmo del elenco.
