@PaisGreenapple3 Wash and Shepard were killed off because they were unwilling to commit to a sequel or new seasons of firefly.

@DeathtoRaiden1 First off, unless you like the show, which I doubt you cannot, you will not like the movie. Now understand, Joss had many seasons of ideas lined up for this series. The shows were one hour in length. So this two hour movie was a last effort to finish the series on a high note, and close some loose ends. With not much time in a movie, they had no time for the slow story driven idea the show. The show gives the movie its history, and explains why it is so fast paced
