Our second venture into the Power Rangers Samurai DX Role Play assortment brings us the Shogun Buckle. This is the device strapped to the waist of the Rangers when in Super Mega Mode. When the Shogun Disk is inserted into the belt, the Ranger (providing this is actually in the show, it is unknown at the time of this post) will transform into the Shogun Ranger, this year's version of the traditional Battlizer Armor. Currently only the Red Shogun Ranger has been released and shown on packaging, so it is unknown if any other Rangers will gain this power. The Shogun Buckle is about the size of a small Kamen Rider Belt, similar in build and weight to the Legend Rider Series belts. The Super Mega Mode style is interesting, encompassing the nice look of the Black Box in shape, while retaining a nice cybernetic design. Insert the Shogun Disk and press down, and the panels will open to reveal an ornamental face, a traditional symbol of rank. The toy has 5 sounds (turning it on, inserting a disk, rotating a disk, ejecting a disk, and the Theme Song). The Theme Song, a short 10 minute mix of the Samurai/MMPR theme, sounds pretty awesome in my opinion. Overall, this is a great toy. The sculpt is great, the paint is well done, and the belt straps are long enough to fit the average adult waist, and definitely all kid waists. I have no personal complaints with this toy other than the lack of epic sound effects. Great toy and definitely worth the price.

My little cousin got this for his birthday. I was babysitting him and found it. I thought he was asleep so I was messing around with it. Now he has a video of me yelling Henshin while wearing his belt (used string to help it fit) on his cellphone. >_>

@BigTransFan I should have noticed it considering I looked up the Kanji for Shogun, but that's right. REALLY awesome attention to detail on Bandai's part. Added cool points.
