  • I just use methylated spirits. It does actually leave a little bit of black residue on the pot but you can fairly easily wash it off. I think alcohol burns pretty clean.

  • very nice! Is this stove completely hollow in side or is their a top to it. I'm curious to see it from the top looking down. Thanks for the great vid.

  • Kind of hollow inside. If you imagine that what you see from the outside is a bottle that has been chopped off before it curves in for the neck and then the neck piece is turned upside down and inserted back into the base. This is how it looks. So looks a bit like it has a funnel inside it. I would say this produces the double wall required for the jets to operate.

  • The Argau Camping Toasters would be a great accessory

  • I just bought the mini version. Any good in the outdoors? I have never actually used an alcohol stove before and am nervous about depending on something I have no experience with.

  • What kind of alcohol do you use?

I know that there's always carbon monoxide dangers with any flame, but does your alcohol leave poisonous residue on your cookware or in the air?
