no i wasnt picking on her, im glad a girl her age is shooting. The sport was just my concern, and thanks you too, shooting is something everyone should have some experience with.
You can tell by my "Comment removed by author." Now you're right on the wind effect on .22cal; the wind will only have it's influence on bullets traveling farther down range. I was referring to competitive shooters in general who shoots larger caliber rounds. In her case, she doesn't need to worry about that. God bless and good luck with your shooting :)
I had a modified message to be sent which is more respectful than what you see here. My judgment was helped by the fact that you were using a 40 year old winchester but did not mention what kind. You could have been referred to a 40 year old lever action for all I know. I sent it but somehow youtube sent the prior message instead. Sorry about that, I thought you were picking on her without knowing the sport itself.
yes actually i can, i used to compete in 22 lr competitions when i was 11, and i never lost, we never used that kind of equipment either, now i shoot 1000+ meters with rifle claibers that are big enough to tear limbs off, so if i were you i wouldnt question me. Right now i am working with a 300 winchester magnum. They will work out to 1500 meters or so. And yes i can put it to that limit, and yes wind is critical at that distance. The 22 shooting here has no relative wind relation..moron.
Hey, can you make a small tight group at a range limit of your bullet? Are you merely plinking or are you actually a marksmanship competitor? Shooters like her shoot for accuracy putting a 3 to 5 shot in 5 minute limit. They mind the wind, elevation, temperature, breathing, & heart-beat. In her case, if an eye patch & a leather suit helps her shoot, all power to her. See Carlos Hathcock III, USMC who entered competition shooting before Vietnam.
wow, see i dont see the reason for all the clothing and eye patches, i can stack bullets with a 40 year old Winchester, without any of those aids, not to say shes a bad shot, but i dont like what theyve done with the sport.
It's a .22
