American Broadcasting Company in 1960's had all their shows do a little display announcing their show was in color. This one is the second variant from the Linda Thorson season of The Avengers, the field. Everyone needs to add these.
@balbeggie You need to reread my description. I didn't say the American Broadcasting Company made The Avengers. I said that the American Broadcasting Company had all the shows they ran produce little 4 second show IDs stating that the show was in color. If they ran the show, then it was their show. It doesn't imply anything about the producing company.
The series was not made by ABC in America. ABC in this case is Associated British Corporation which was part of ABC TV network which ceased in 1968 when it merged with Associated-Rediffusion to form Thames TV . The color (instead of colour) done for export I expect. Happy days watching these programmes all those years ago even before we had colour tv.
