P-51 came out late so it's too advance for other fighters at that time.

A P51 against any of the Japanese pilots in the Pacific in the early days of the war would not have been so successful, by the time we made it to Japan all the pilots were either kids or any able bodied man crazy enough to go up without proper training. The Corsair was more suited to go one on one with a good Zero pilot.
