  • Tom: I love all your videos and i think it's only fair to warn you that my wife holds you responsible for me being in the garage with a pile of flint, wood and river cane for the past year. I am 67 years old and it is fun to rediscover the boy in me that used to run over the Indian trails here in Ohio and live out the life style of James Fenimore Cooper's "Leather Stocking Tales". Some where in my garage is a hickory bow I made in 1955...if I can just find it I can terrorize my neighbors. Rey

  • Thanks Rey. If I ever meet your wife she can kick me in the shin or something! Thanks for your kind words my friend. Tom

  • those are great bows, i like them short too but low brace usually devastates my wrist and i see you aren't even wearing a bracer whats your secret? :o

  • With the short-draw bows, I shoot with a bent elbow on my bow arm (so I can get some sort of anchor at full draw...even if it is a half-arsed anchor). This generally keeps my wrist clear of the string.

  • What kind of Walnut is that?

  • Do you have a video on making the quiver you are using? Thanks I was rooting for little brother....

  • Tom: I don't recall you ever discussing checking the spine weight of any of your arrows. Is that something you do by feel when you nock your arrows or do you even bother? I started about a dozen arrows from arrowwood viburnum cut in June and the longer i wait for final finishing the stronger they get. I have just started a new batch that were cut in Dec.that includes both arrowwood viburnum and red osier dogwood and I am monitoring them very closely as some of them have split already. Rey

  • 0:01 Did your wife do the video titles when you were on honeymoon?

  • why not full draw with the 62"er? I made a maple self shortbow and it has a 26" draw.

  • yours bow are in sale?,how much cost?
