    ahh.... it's a complicated plot. Basically, there is another dimension where monsters called "chains" exist. People who have committed terrible sins are sent there. Oz (kid in the picture) is sent there for the sin of his very being. In there he meets a chain called the B-Rabbit, who can take the form of a little girl named alice. He makes a contract with her in order to get out, where they begin to search for Alice's memories and the truth behind Oz's sin. I recommend the manga over anime.

    It's not "all gore". A few people only got their head cut off, and other then that the only blood there is fits naturally in. What I'm saying is, there are no excessive use of blood/gore.
