Oh yes. Universal Century is where even grunt pilots can kick ass and put up some fights against major mobile suits. Even GM pilots could be badass.

@tom9154 The grunts in 00 were actually rather competent. More so than any other Gundam universe aside from the UC and AC. Now before you bash the Wing universe, keep in mind that grunt units took Tallgeese out and the A.I.s made the Gundam pilots work hard. Also, a grunt pilot stole Wing Zero and went on a joyride with it. Since 00 is basically Wing, this was carried over especially during season one of 00.

They should totally redo the original Gundam series with this style of animation and throw in some of the side-story plots, MS, and characters (like in the Gihren's Greed series) for Gundam's fiftieth anniversary or something. It'd be badass.
