And I'm tired of RG snobs calling RG GYMNASTICS as if their dancing were the one-and-only true sport of gymnastics. Tramp and Acro people say they do Trampoline or Acro. And what they do is actually related to gymnastics. Why are RG girls such bitches about it? They act like people shouldn't associate gymnastics IS their sartorial beauty pageant. But I guess if horses are in the Olympics, bitches dancing can be too so long as it's labled "gymnastics". So I guess that wraps up our argument.

I think you misunderstood me a sbit skata. I didn't diss RG because I think it's easy. I know dance isn't an easy discipline. I dissed the idiocy of adamently calling contemporary ballet + props gymnastics. It's insulting to real gymnasts. Dance is not gymnstics because of a few walkovers. Likewise gymnastics is not dance no matter how obsessed some people get over the dance elements in ladies gymnastics.

I know what you're trying to say.. It's just that I'm getting tired of people talking this was about RG. Does it require athleticism? Yes. Strenght, courage, flexibility, precision? Yes. I would call it a sport then. And the "real gymnastics" aren't just about flips and saltos.

Catyalina... have you seen the RG code of points ? It's gymnastics for sure when you see that every difficulty have a value and clearly RG isn't marked only on an artistic way. There are executions and difficulties points too.Rythmic gymnasts can't do what they want. They have to follow many rules and they have a start mark just as other gymnasts do. It's really a mix beteween dance and gymnastics, plus an apparatus.

Is ballet a sport? Even if they added handheld apparatus to their performance. Even if it requires strength and flexibility. No. It's not. RG bitches probably isistently call their dancing GYMNASTICS because they know it isn't.

I did not say that it's totally easy. I practice dance and gymnastics and I know that getting and staying flexible is grueling work. But being an ultra flexible dancer with super hand-eye coordination still doesn't turn your performance into the sport of gymnastics. I mean, RG is judged on beauty and leaps, basically. That's not a sport. It's a beauty pageant. And putting a beauty pageant in the Olympics is very stupid to me.
