*please watch in high quality*

every year, the Amherst Model Railroad Society hosts this gigantic train show. it fills 4 buildings to the brim. with over 30 layouts, many of which are larger than a house, and hundreds of vendors selling everything from junk parts to brass big boys, this show has it all. if you need anything, its there, you just need to find it first. if you have never been to this show, you need to go. It's simply amazing. This was my third year going to this show and every year i get great deals.

I picked up a USRA 2-8-8-2 Y6b locomotive and a USRA 4-8-2 mountain this year. I got the Y6b (a Proto 2000 heritage locomotive) for $155 brand new! This engine sells for $350 normally. The 4-8-2 was $50. All it needed was a tad bit of glue and a little cleaning. Both of these engines run beautifully and look great on the layout. Once i finish rebuilding one of the curves on my main line, i'll have a video of them running.
