Tom Woods is one of the most articulate individuals out there. He shreds it every time he speaks. Anyone remotely interested in the idea of liberty needs to check out his new book called Nullification. As the USA begins to enact more and more unconstitutional laws "protecting" the public, the time to start nullifying them has never been more opportune and urgent, than now!

@acotytamwiesz Actually,it's closer to 2,000 years. As far as I can tell, the iranians have not engaged in an aggressive war since it was the Persian Empire...But that isn't my point. I never once susgested that all of the movement toward war with Iran is legitimate. I don't favor warring against another country merely because they oppresss their own people--but Iran does oppress its people and any regime that is hostile to its people's freedom is evil. That's my only point.

@sleedolfine15 'iranian reime is truly evil' ?! - ROTFL. They have not fought an agressive war since 200 years!!! US is currently the agressor in 5 wars at a time! 'Bribe or bomb' policy! Look at the list of of countries with biggest oil fields and you will understand what is REAL goal of 'promoting democracy' by USA! Oh and btw in Iraq a MILLION people died and the WMD just werent there (even though US GAVE the WMD to Saddam back when they were ood friends!)

@sleedolfine15 Why don't you watch that lecture given by Rick Stevens. He spent a month or so in the country filming and talking to people. Again, why should I care about who is free or not? The world is a big place... we are going broke fast and my taxes have to go toward making other people free and changing regimes? The regime change in Iraq did not exactly go according to plan... lots of dead people... that's our definition of freedom. Nuts.

@sleuth51 There are degrees of freedom. There are a world of things that I can do..that you can do that would get you jailed or murdered in Iran. If you really can't make the distinction between the unjustified governmental controls in the still basically free western world of democratic quasi capitalism and authoritarian Iran then I susgest that you speak to to one of the many former Iranians living in the U.S...and please no conspiracy nonsense. .diebold machines really.

@sleedolfine15 I guess Amnesty International and Freedom House are going to tell us that this is freedom:
you tube.com Joe Rogan: The American War Machine
This is true evil, if you are looking for evil

@sleedolfine15 Who cares if they are free or not? I can name 50 African countries that aren't free. According to their faith they are free. They could care less about what the West defines as freedom. Listen to that lecture given by Rick Stevens. We aren't free either. Diebold machines do our voting for us. Our government burdens us with ungodly amounts of debt. The media controls us. We can't think for ourselves. Our children are "forced' into govt. education. etc. etc.

@sleuth51 (1)You keep making the arguement against the war which is superfluous inasmuch as I have already stated my opposition to the war,(2) The Iranian regime is evil because of its lack of freedom..Several human rights organization from Amnesty International to Freedom House place Iran near the bottom of their lists of freedom indices and a society antagonistic to the freedom of it's citizens is evil.

@jeffiek (1)I'm not the least bit upset. I'm quite calm. I am merely engaging in a discussion with some one who isn't you--someone more reasonable than you. (2)As for your brilliant assertion that opposing the war after the fact does not bring back the dead well..that's kind of obvious, but to those of us--unlike yoursef, who is not God life is a learning process in which one--hopefully proceed from error to truth--which is what I did regarding the war. Oh,by the way,I sleep quite well.
@Amyls64 Hellfire missiles fired from drones on the innocent can hardly be described as loving. Admit, our undeclared wars that cost the lives of hundreds of thousands of innocent people are unchristian. "Would Dr. Paul have voted... out?" Not sure what you mean? Dr. Paul speaks the truth at all times. If he doesn't mean it, he doesn't say it. If he means it, he says it, regardless of the consequences. He panders to no one. He votes the same way, guided only by the Constitution.

@Amy- its not about being "nice". Its about what's right and wrong. Its about common sense. I can't believe so many people are willing to give up their freedom in the name of "safety". What a scam!
