My first flight in a Funk ... no I wasn't depressed! It's a great little airplane that was the creation of the Funk Brothers from Coffeyville, Kansas. This particular Funk is owned by Ron Wright and Bob Anderson and many years before was owned by the Sportsman's Flying Club that Ron's Dad was a member of during the '50s. Long story between but of even more interest to me was the fact that this plane was delivered from the factory to it's original owner, a Dr. in Hiawatha, Kansas so it's first home was in a hangar just 2 miles from the farm I lived on at the time! This flight was the day of the VAA 16 fly-in and is take off, low pass and landing with pilot Ron.

  • I am restoring a Funk, so seeing your video was nice. Would have liked to see some video from the outside as well. Thanks for sharing.
