Most manufacturers have found that Americans still think of diesels as smelly and loud like the diesels of the 80's, even though this is no longer the case. Some manufacturers have had difficulty selling diesels and others have chosen not to sell in the U.S. because of buyer resistance.

Insight looks liek a very nice car

you can get an lx trim for about 19000 new pretty much anywhere, where Toyota sells there bottom base prius at 23000, and that's hard to find, since dealers will always upgrade the vehicles to add on cost prior to putting them on the lot

There is no perception of the Insight being slow, its a well know fact.

the Prius is bigger than the Honda civic and insight hybrid and the Prius has a better backseat confort than any of the honda hybrids.

honda's hybrid Sucks, unless you live on your own because the backseat is very cramp and we have a 04 civic and Its backseats is very unconfortable, if you want a roomy car buy a Accord, pilot, or the Oddyssey because they are the only stylish honda cars out there.

guaranteed failure? really? never heard that about the new jettas, especially not the diesel models. and anyway, you see what shit this insight is inside and out. i know it's a honda, but a car built explicitly to be cheap (this, every car from dodge, kia rio, chevrolet aveo, perodua myvi, etc.) is no good, and that stands true in reliability.

Well, Honda is trying to copy Toyota on EVERYTHING.

And its not turning out very good.

VW is not reliable. The engine may be but the electronic system is a GUARANTEED FAILURE
