NEC's TurboGrafx-16, Sega's Genesis, and SNK's Neo-Geo take center stage in this video of the 1991 Summer Consumer Electronics show. Also footage of Commodore's CDTV, Canon's massive camcorder booth, and high end audio equipment.

If you are looking for Nintendo's booth and the Super Nintendo, I have a separate video for that on my channel.

I know your comment is 2 years old but I'll answer anyway.. I'm pretty sure CES has always been press only and not open to the public. Second, cosplay wasn't really a big thing yet in '91, it mostly only happened at really big conventions and sci-fi events so even if this was open to the public no one's really going to cosplay at a trade show

I would have went to this show. Shows now are full of hipsters and fake nerds. I stay away.

Weird thing is no matter how great new tech seems at the time after about 10 years it all seems awkward and a pain in the ass to use. Tech has a way of dating itself pretty quick.

I remember reading somewhere that japan did a test broadcast of HDTV in 1982.
