Cro-Mags = metal, torture-core, junk, scratchy, chalkboard voices, filth

Discharge = hardcore punk, = ok

Cro Mags rule. Discharge were great, but you can't dislike the Cro Mags ffs dude. Without Discharge and UKHC you'd not have had early NYHC.

We've heard similar stuff, Levi but our punks didn't need your punks. We had the NY Dolls long before you had the S/P. We had plenty of HC before you did.

Flanagan said it best 'We were certainly aware of what was going on over there, even if they weren't so aware of what was going on here'. NY was a late bloomer in hardcore hence Cro-Mags '86. Most US scenes were dead in '84-'85.

Without UK Oi the NY scene wouldn't of had skins or indeed hardcore.

Levi = Ronald Reagan, every word is a lie. The Germs were 1st HC--1977-1980.
Our local scene thrived until the mid to late 1990s and even today is not "dead."

What? As if the UK invented hardcore...

No but it invented Oi, without Oi and the faster anarcho-punk you'd not have had US hardcore.
