@echt35 Last night Dream Theater was inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame. John Petrucci and John Myung were in attendance to accept on behalf of the band. This is the speech JP gave when accepting the award.

Not even a mention for Mike... Am i dreaming ? This incredible guy gave his whole heart and soul to the band for 25 years...

I will miss Dream Theater so much ! it took about 20 years to Roger Waters and David Gilmour to play together again, how much time will it take for JP, JM and MP ??

@kirbymaster5 Dream Theater 'Shopping in Tokyo' or somethin' like that (I think Tokyo is misspelled to Tokio).

He talks in that :) and his voice is super awesome!

@Deathz0r94 yeah same, but its the same band. drummers are replaceable, lets face it. sure, he was a huge key part of DT, but that may not necessarily be a good thing, creatively speaking. we will see what happens, but im sure the next album should be one to remember

also, not to be skeptical but they havent put out any good 'old shit' in years, which is possibly thanks to Portnoy. nothing will top Images and Words and Awake

Great speech by John but I agree he should have given credit to the band members, past and present including James, Jordan, Charlie Dominicci (whom the symbol spells his last name), Kevin Moore, Derek Sherinian and especially Mike Portnoy.
