Village Church - God of Victory (Album Version)

The album version from Village Church's "God of Victory" album released in April 2011.

According to 1 Peter 2:9, God has called us "out of the darkness into his marvelous light". We give thanks to God, who gives us victory through Jesus Christ, the conqueror of sin and death. Though we are free and forgiven, we still have hurts and addictions that we have to face every day. We cannot know the depth of Christ's love until we know the depth of our own depravity, and we cannot fully understand the depth of our own depravity until we know how far Christ condescended to exalt us.

Because of that, we cry out with the Puritans: "O may my sin be bitter so Christ will be sweet". We have a Savior who loves us and wants us to walk with Him in righteousness, so we'll sing it loud: Jesus is victorious!
