Joe Loss and his Orchestra were one of the best known and most popular orchestras in the UK during the big band era (1940's). Founded in 1930 the orchestra celebrates it's 80th anniversary in 2010. Joe Loss was the bandleader from 1930 up to his death in 1990. From that year onwards the orchestra has been under the musical direction of Todd Miller (who used to be a vocalist in the band).
Here they bring an exciting version of Burt Bacharach's "Do you know the way to San Jose" - a legendary hit for Dionne Warwick. Enjoy !

  • Hi Walter, this is a great U.S. standard, was looking for more versions of this and I found one of the "Socratess Symphonies" and thought: 'Truly this must be good' ...And it was so!

Receives a Spring greeting from your Mexican friend Miguel Angel.

  • @MrMaymac Hi Miguel, thanks for the nice compliment and sending some sparkling spring greetings back to you ! We've got blue skies and temperatures of some 15° now ..... that's " quite warm " for Belgian standards ;-)
