He had no choice since his family plotted against him and wanted him to give up power to his brother. The family kidnapped his father since he said that "I cannot control my son". Masamune followed his fathers order that was to "kill the enemy even if it means shooting me down". Of course thats what the history books say.

@thekjkjkjkjkjkj Not in the original SW3, but they're making an expansion and a port for the PS3 that will have a story for everyone that didn't have one in the original.
