Cyclone Yasi - Kewarra Beach Aftermath

Kewarra Beach after Cyclone Yasi. While we didn't cop the full force of the Cyclone, its effects are still lingering with considerable rain and wind up to 12 hours after its passing. I have not noticed any damage other then fences and foliage, there are still large areas of Cairns without power.

@greyhound3561 Cardwell is a genuine tragedy, some of the footage there is heartbreaking. The highway (or parts that are left) are now the water front.

Thanks for great video of kewarra beach...my son lives there and I used to so good to see......would it be possible to get an idea of any house damage???like a drive around or is it just mainly trees and debris??? Cheers

@greyhound3561 There is no house damage anywhere, aside from the odd fence damaged by a branch.
