  • sorry please read"I have NEVER been able"

  • Personally,I have been able to see why Messiah needs to be "staged".It doesn't add to Handels music (nothing could) In fact it takes a lot away by distracting from the musiv and the text.

This is only my own opinion however.

  • Ok, the holder of the copyright is Unitel !

You have uploaded 1536 videos and many performances in full length.

My opinion, Editor: That is unfair ! Less is more ! The artists and so on are dependent on earning money with their publications !!!:

  • I believe I must see the entire DVD to understand what's going on and how the scenic performance is linked (if it is) with the music.

  • Thank you to those who have made this stunning performance of Messiah accessible to the World. Some may find it sacrilegious, but to me it amplifies the beauty of this oratorio. Wherever you are coming from, surely it is impossible not to appreciate this as a great work of art.

  • @Taenyr Bejun Metha sings at Tehater an der Wien : Serse (Arsamene)

  • What the heck is this?

  • His timbre is too heavy and dramatic for this aria...he's probably right at home in Handel's operas, though. Possible Xerxes?

  • If the Royal Winnipeg Ballet can do it then stage Messiah as a play as well. Maybe it is one of the few works which is so malleable.

  • @jeanhenley: Actully, this interpretation is written by Handel who scored the aria for basso profundo, alto, and first soprano!
