Greatest Tank Battles is an action-packed 13 - part series that brings to life the most gripping and monumental tank battles ever fought... Filmed on battlefields across the world, and using stunning, ultra-realistic CGI animation and eyewitness accounts, this new original series puts viewers in the heat of the battles.
@CrowdDemon now we are comparing adaptors fitted to the vehicle after its production??? the littlejohn adaptor saw limited, if any use on the Crusader tank. so the adaptor is irrelevant to this argument. theoretically the M4 COULD have used a littlejohn adaptor for its gun but they didnt, just like the crusaders rarely(again, if ever)used them in combat. compare the raw performance of these guns and the 75mm is far better. but you were right about one thing at least, the 75mm fired superior HEs.

You don't know what you're talking about.
Kinetic impact over a smaller area = better penetration. Look up "Little John adaptor" when you got the time and the squeeze-bore principal.
The 75mm was a weaker AT gun but had a outstanding HE round. Not denying the superiority of the 76mm.
Please fuck off now. I told you before. You were correct regarding the Sherman's speed and armour. If you want the last word that badly, reply to this. But I wont reply back.

@CrowdDemon what the hell are you talking about??? compare the penetrating power of the 7.62x39(AK)to the 5.56x41(M-16). the M-16s travels at more than twice the speed of the AK-47s, is nearly half the weight, and has nearly half the cross section. but which has more penetration??? THE AK ROUND!!! why? KINETIC ENERGY! kinetic energy is the single most important factor when it comes to penetration. just look up the QF 75mm gun. after seeing how successful our 75mm was they decided to use them.

@hotpocketpoison
Slightly? The 75's muzzel velocity was 620.m/s. Even the 2pdr shell was faster. Thanks for showing your physics illiteracy. Kinetic energy on its own doesn't improve penetration. The 75mm couldn't penetrate 70mm at 500. Where as the 57mm COULD cut through that at 1000. Its sophisticated APDS rounds could slice through 100mm at 1000 yards.
oh. and an APDS has a cross section of about 30mm, and weighed less than the AP, 75mm round..
Nice logic about shows.Fuckwit. Now go away

@CrowdDemon no, the rounds fired by the M4 had slightly lower muzzle velocity, but were up to 2.5x as heavy, meaning the kinetic energy behind the M4s shells would be more than twice that of the Crusaders gun, and higher kinetic energy means much more penetration. also if you want to see british tanks watch a british show, dont come bitch on american channels highlighting american vehicles for an american audience, it is completely pointless.

@hotpocketpoison
You're right about the armour and speed yes. But the 75mm was the main tank gun of the Less and Sherman in Africa and its AP ability compared to the 6pdr was pathetic. Also sophisticated ammunition types were available for the 6pdr(57mm) by 1944 giving it similar power to the 76.
It just pisses me off how these shows belittle the UK in WW2. Its always the same shit over and over again.

@CrowdDemon what the fuck are you talking about??? the M4 had 72mm of armor in the front, the Crusader(MK3)had 52mm. and the M4 had a 75mm gun(some versions had a 76mm gun with a longer barrel), the Crusader(MK3)only had a 57mm gun(the barrel length was also shorter). the M4 could also travel up to 5mph faster than the Crusader on roads and off roads. do some research before typing asshole.

@MrSpy3000 Why? Its a popular tank particularly with Americans (primary audience), its a great tank and its featured in the series.
