Britta Poetzsch

After leaving school, Britta Poetzsch moved to Berlin to study `Gesellschafts- und Wirtschaftskommunikation` at the University of Arts Berlin (UDK).
Then she started her copywriter-career 1991 at the legendary Copywriter Agency `Hildmann, Simon, Rempen and Schmitz` at Duesseldorf. With her first works there she won a decoration at the Junior ADC and her first ADC medal.
 
The next agency she worked for a short time was `Springer & Jacoby` and after that she stood for over seven years at KNSK, BBDO in Hamburg. There she became Creative Director and worked on highly awarded clients such as Lucky Strike, Stern, Expo 2000 and Nordsee.
2001 she worked as a freelancer in Berlin for such famous agencies as Jung von Matt, Heimat, Weigertpirouzwalf, Scholz&Friends Berlin, Wiesmeier and Start.
In the same year she was invited to become a member of the Art Directors Club Germany.
In 2002 she started as a CD at McCann Erickson The Communications House Berlin (MECH) working for clients including Lufthansa, Siemens, InStyle, monster, Hasseroeder along with winning a lot new business for the agency.
At the beginning of 2006 she was appointed Executive Creative Director of MECH Berlin, where she continues to build up the team and raise the standards of the creative product.
Since she is a member of the Art Directors Cub Germany she has been appointed to the ADC jury and Junior ADC jury every year. In November she was elected as member of the board of the ADC.

In January 2010 she assumed the creative direction of the McCann offices in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Munich and Berlin.
So she is nationwide the only woman in the advertising line with the title of a Chief Creative Officer.

This year she is a member of the Cannes Jury for the category Press.
