Panchabhootam - a multimedia, music & dance production on the five elements of nature

Panchabhootam is a multimedia production that synergizes Music and Classical Dance to depict the five elements of nature - Earth, Air, Water, Fire and Space. The music score is completely original and cuts across various genres from Carnatic, Hindustani to Western. Each of the five elements has been choreographed innovatively adhering to all the nuances of Bharatanatyam - a traditional classical dance art form of India. Multimedia is a huge component of the production that brings out the essence of every element with stunning visuals/video alongside a 15 member Indian Choir and Dance. Panchabhootam received a standing ovation from a houseful audience at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center in Atlanta in December, 2010.

The entire music was written, orchestrated and recorded by C.V.Subramanian. The dance choreography and direction was done by Gayatri Subramanian, artisitic director of Soundarya Natyalaya.

The net proceeds of this production was donated to OSAAT, One School At A Time, a non profit organization, that provides education to the underprivileged in India, by taking up projects like building schools, improving infrastructure etc. For more details please visit www.osaat.org
