Reaction: AIG bailout bonuses

If you were an AIG executive, would you accept a bonus this year? Representative Barney Frank said that maybe its time some people should be fired. Since the federal government now effectively owns AIG, should Congress be able to do that? Of the $100 billion that AIG was given, over half of it went to foreign banks to pay off debt. Should taxpayer money essentially go to bailing out foreign banks?

The exemption to pay these bonuses was expressly written into the 700 billion stimulus bill.

The same outraged politicians are the very ones who voted for the rushed stimulus bill.

Therefore, anyone who voted for the bill should be impeached for gross negligence.

The fact that these AIG bastards even have the balls to ask for a bonus, wow. You failed the company and you want a bonus? The company is bankrupt, these guys are idiots asking for a bonus. Thats just like me failing miserably at my job and walking up to the boss and asking for a bonus and him saying, sure, why not, you did a good job. What motivation do these guys have for doing a good job when they are not accoutable for their actions? This is not a "loan" by any means, they do not have to pay this money back to the taxpayers. This county is headed downhill fast.

What purpose does it serve for me to be "financially responsible" for my debts when these AIG scumbags are stealing money from tax payers? These guys are buying their 2nd or third house's while im getting more and more into debt. This bailout debt is being put on my back while these scumbags are reaching into my pockets and robbing me blind. I live in a country where is better to be financially irresponsibe than to be responsible and to pay off your debt. I feel like im bleeding out of my ass.
