  • Dumbet rule ever made in the history of sports.

What is one thing your coaches tell you to do as a young player just starting to play the game? That is play until you hear the whistle. The gay ass rule just completely erases that theory. Whoever made this rule needs to be shot. How the f**k can the player read the mind of the refs? If someone can tell me that, I would have no problem with this rule. But until then let me just say if they keep making stupid rules like this im boycotting the NHL.

  • @ProJanitor its the rule that the play will be ended at the point when the refs intends to blow the whistle... so the puck was in and the ref intended to blow the whistle about 3secs b4 so the goal wont count

  • Um well ref I um intended to score on that play so ah...if you could chalk that up and Im pretty sure haggy got the assist so throw one his way would ya. The refs are ridiculous. What a fucking joke. I dont know how much more obvious it has to be that these bastards are getting payed to pull this shit.

  • The rule makes no sense at all. It only really matters when the puck ends up in the net, and that's when it matters most. In all of sports, I think its the worst rule. Usually when there is a controversial call, it's taken care of in the offseason(like the tuck rule in football), as a fan of the Sharks I know that this season the Sharks had a goal waved off, and the announcers said on the same day the Red Wings had a goal waved off...how long does it take to blow a whistle?

  • The rules state that the play doesn't stop until a whistle is blown, unless something happens during the ref's "intent to blow the whistle" phase. See Red Wings vs. Phoenix this season, or Red Wings vs. Anaheim during the playoffs last season

  • leafs suck anyways

  • This was in overtime dumbass...

  • there was no goal. puck was dead.

  • the puck was in then he blew the whistle. The rules are that the play doesn't stop until a whistle is blown. That was a goal.

  • i am really bored anyone wanna play and have fun
