So, all the fireworks were REAL, only the 55-second footprints fireworks on TV were CGI simulated, but it doesn't matter since the actual 29 footprint fireworks set off at the same time, in much the same way, tourists and people in Beijing saw them exploding in the sky.

All the fireworks were REAL, including the footprint fireworks, only the 55-second footprint fireworks on TV were CGI simulated, because it was hard to capture those footprint fireworks on a helicopter, and following those footprint fireworks could endanger the safety of the helicopter pilot, so they showed a 55-second CGI simulated footprint fireworks for TV audience while the actual footprint fireworks set of at the same time, in much the same way, tourists and people in Beijing saw them.
