@sonic8005 Gaddafi stepped down from every governmental position in 1976 and thereafter had only a symbolic position. The democracy that Gaddafi preached in writings and speech, and that Libya adhered to since 1976, was a direct democracy where ALL Libyan people meet, discuss and decide every issue. Gaddafis election to "King of Kings of Africa" by 200 African Kings and rulers in 2008 was symbolic of the justified respect that Gaddafi enjoyed over whole Africa.

The videos of the Libyan revolution have been up for several months before they eventually killed Gaddafi.

I know a lot of people here hate Obama but that's no excuse to ignorantly believe all these ridiculous claims made in Gaddafi's favor. The man was the ruler of his country since 1969 and he ruled in fear. Gaddafi wasn't a true ruler in the democratic sense (he thought democracy meant "stay on the chair") and he wasn't the King of Africa despite his claims.
