@100blackheros i understand it as a little love song for a person who's sad. get it? like it's saying, you see a sad girl (hence the "sore eyes") and you can't stand it, so you want to see her happy ("if i can bring that light back to your eyes, what would'ya say?")

there was this girl in my elementary school who always seemed to be sad all the time n didnt have many friends. i couldn't stand to see her like that and i kinda liked her. this song explains it completely : )
