OK, thanks for your words and sorry for mine. Actually, I am a Frenchman from Scottish ascent (thus my screenname). Accursed be Vichy and its leaders till the end of the centuries. Thanks goodness, there were far more French people who resisted (openly or secretly) to the Germans than French people who collaborated with them. And the martyrs of the French resistants, who suffered and died in atrocious conditions, shouldn't be forgotten either.

I have a lot of French blood myself... but I'm not going to be lectured about how some Americans were facist sympathizers when the Vichy actually collaborated with the Nazis. @McClernand4 If the US had fought WWII based on our own self interests, we would have ignored the Europe First policy Churchill begged for. The Japanese were a bigger immediate threat to us and we helped liberate Europe (France first) instead. I'm not some overzealous "America is the greatest" kind of guy, but I don't see where the US became the bad guy on a discussion of what happened in WWII. As far as the Jews, the US accepted immigrants before and after the war. I love Steffi

On the contrary : some of their most famous people (Ford, Lindbergh) were outspoken supporters of the Nazis. And they said the pro-war movements in the USA were financed by the Jewish organisations ! When Charles Chaplin directed his movie "The Dictator", he received a tremendous amount of death threats from American citizens. And you dare to teach us morals ???????

You bloody piece of shit...my grand parents concealed a Jewish family and helped them to flee, by WWII. If you finally decided to wage war against Germany, it's just because Hitler declared war against you, after Pearl Harbour ! And you fought the Nazis only to protect your own interests. As long as they weren' threatened, you didn't care at all the atrocities committed by them, especially against the Jews.

@Hoffenheim08 You're missing a central theme here. The Nazis were so screwed in the head that they made allies of the US and USSR to defeat your facist asses. The US was fighting a two front war too. Ask the Japanese how well it went facing the US one on one. Do you really wish the full might of US power had been directed at Germany? I'm not even one of those flag waving "rah rah USA USA" Americans. I'm just disgusted to see someone cheering Nazis on a Steffi page.

3-1 in 4 matches with one of the wins being a 10-8 in 3rd set and the loss being a 2-6 1-6 is definitely not "having someone's number". Not to forget that 3 of those 4 matches were on slow courts, favouring Seles.

@italo36 I agree Monica had Steffi's number in the early 1990s in the grand slams which matter most. Seles had a 3-1 edge in slam finals. Monica dominated the WTA and including Graf in the slams. Some Graf fans do not want to admit this.
