Early intervention is the best weapon against autism, and Early is the best time to take advantage of the breathtaking plasticity of a baby's brain in order to correct its developmental trajectory.
This care is critical in order to achieve the best quality of life and most successful outcomes for every child affected by autism, which now strikes one child out of every 150 in the United States, alone. Sadly, about 40% of children with autism will never tell their Mom or Dad they love them.
This gift of early intervention can make a tangible difference between a child who says, "I love you," and can show concern for an abandoned kitten and one child who retreats into the prison of a self-referential world, only to join the "normal" world for flickers of an instant.
Not every parent is able to give this gift.
Many parents are forced to wait months or more before their child receives treatment under publicly funded services. This waiting is critical time; lost treatment time that cannot be regained.
Your pledge or donation to The Early Intervention Network will help us fulfill our mission of expediting treatment for children who are newly diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder by providing their families with bridge services until treatment under publicly funded programs becomes available.
With your help, we can literally help children with autism find their voices by giving parents the tools and skills they need to effectively communicate with their child and for their child to communicate with them. This is a rescue mission.

Oh, and on a side not. There's nothing that can be done about autism because you can't cure stupid. Or in most of these kids case, ugly.
