ah i remember the good ol times of anno 1503, now that was a good game!. I find this game Very easy.
though if your looking for a not that hard 18 centruy Sim city like game this is what you want.

That's really NOT what Anno is like.
Age of Empires and Anno are not really comparable. Anno is more of an economic simulation with a rather small military part. Whereas AoE is more of an military real time strategy game. Building up a town in AoE doesn't even take half the time it does in Anno.

It can be directly compared with The Settlers 6 Rise of an Empire and also Anno 1404 Dawn of Discovery.
