But whats that really? changing to please others? When you start changing your sound to appease the audience, its when you get albums like vertigo. Music is about playing what you like. not what others want you to play. Long live post 85 U2.

I understand what you are saying, but they have to change their sound. There are bands that just keep playing the same old songs and people get bored after awhile. Each of their albums has a different theme from the other and they just reinvent themselves.
