Whats in the box? My new toy Y'all. I'm going to try and build this rifle online. It will take time, toys aren't cheap! Just showing what comes in the box when you buy it.

  • I like your rifles and your hunting videos with hogdude1234

  • @22Nighthunt thanks. Hopefully I'll be able to hunt with him in a few weeks

  • I live in Texas outside the DFW area and i did find some info on the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department website about hunting hogs at night. Basically it states "Night hunting with a spotlight is often used; however, the local game warden must be notified beforehand. (There are certain laws which prohibit using artificial light where deer are known to range.)

Also I think the smaller 50 to 80 lb hogs taste great right off the smoker. lol

  • @TTBFT sooo, where deer are known to range... that could be anywhere!... I call them when Im in town, not when Im out. The last call I made the warden(she) told me, Oh Ok... thanks for calling. I asked you want he address? She says, no as long as you are legal. Then I had to explain about shots in the night and wardens wandering around looking for poachers. THEN she took the info and told me she was new and didnt realize...

  • I just found a green bulb foy my Surefire C2 Centurion that is cheaper than the green lens cover. The green does look like it has a longer reach. My buddy told me I could get into trouble for using a light at night for hunting hogs, says its poaching and considered spotlighting. What's your thoughts on the subect?

  • @TTBFT depends on the laws in your state. Here in Texas I can take a tank out and go after them if I had one, at night too. Hogs are a pest. The state of Texas allows up to take hogs by any means and any method. Hogs are nocturnal, therefore hunted at night. The use of a light makes the hunting easier. We can also use lights for night varment hunting. Its only considered poaching if you are useing it for deer at night here in Texas. Your friend may be right where he lives, but not here.

  • @dnahoghunter lol I have deer in my back yard every morning. Maybe I shouldn't have put a deer feeder 100 yards from my back porch. lol I have 40 acres but no hogs.

  • I called the Parker County Game Warden and he wishes that they would take that info off of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department's website cause he has had over 20 calls in the last 2 weeks. lol

Happy hunting but I wish I could find a place in one of my neighboring counties to hunt especially now that it's deer season.

  • @TTBFT I haven't had them spook from my red destroyer or mini sniper but once. I lower it slow and they don't seem to notice. The green realy reaches out. The thing is is to get a light with a red light, not a lense. Same with the green. I've used both and the lenses work. But I like these new lights best. Good luck!!

  • I sure like my M&P15T. I like the other video of the green light, cause I've been using a red filter with mine and they seem to run away from the red but I will try the green.
