The small town of Woodville in the Tararua District, New Zealand, held a Pioneer Anniversary weekend to celebrate 125 years since the formation of their first Town Board in 1885. A pioneer street parade was well supported with residents and visitors dressing in pioneer costume, stockmen, horse drawn wagons and vintage vehicles and machinery. The weekend concluded on Sunday with a church service complete with hay bales for pews and a Hangi (food cooked in the ground by Maori)
