[NB: for old carb type] Qualified mechanic charge $70+ per hour. Fuk mechanics, charge heaps & do squat. B sure assembly is supported OR in short time it will effect the carb mounts & gaskets. I leave stock A/Cleaner in place (cheap filters) & run a 3" ribbed hose to the front mudguard. This gives cold air supply, is protected from rain & allot of dust, costs ~nothing, works fine. To improve more U shield & insulate a/clean from engine. Mechanics brain burned out by fumes so avoid mechanics!!

This is how you get cold response and high intake of thumbsdown from viewers.

There is a better method (altho I am not a Honda guy...BMW4me).... First you get some cheap "universal" intake piping (i.e. "Spectre"); figure out how to best fit it w smoothest "bends" and least tubing as possible with the cone filter in the bumper; sand (1200grit) metal tubing exterior; spray paint exterior of tubing w Hi-Heat Exhaust Paint and wrap with DEI Header Wrap when dry; then carefully wrap aluminum tape around as radiant barrier, put together (silicone coupling), and enjoy

@godrilla thats what happens when your too cheap to spend 50 bucks on an intake piping kit
