The fundamental difference between tournament pong, and everyday pong is that the tables at a tournament are the right size, which means that you don't gain an advantage from leaning. At someone's house, odds are that table isn't regulation size, which means that it can be advantageous for someone to lean.
That said, Nightshade, stop being a douche. It's beer pong. Most of us do it during our college years, and then after that, only at football tailgates. Get over yourself.
