My God, that organ is alive. The whole Earth must vibrate in its resonance.
-
but it's mind-blowingly beautiful, to the eyes and ears...
-
too fast for me.

This organ has such a lush sound. And the artist, using this lush sound snd his talent really tames the TaCFDm. This organ, especially the sound of the bass pipes is incredible. So this is a Baroque instrument. Does that mean it's a Baroque style instrument, or that it was built in Baroque times? Because if it was, the I say that there hasn't been any progress in organs since then!

@lconrad "Truly gives the aural orgasm."
Aurgasm? ;-)

@whst400 Most of what Bach wrote were teaching tools. Toccata means "to show off" and fugue means to "follow"... so , yes this is a "warm up" to get your fingers, and feet, warmed up for that days practicing.

Sebastian Bach...
I've had the pleasure of hearing this played on three different large pipe organs. It's awe inspiring. Each organ has it's own voice... like people. Listening to these pieces gives us a chance to experience the genius of a group of incredible artists. The performer, the composer, the unnamed engineers and builders of these stunning instruments and the men who engineered and built the buildings to protect and give them the richness of their voice. The performer gives life to the rest.

I have heard sooo many people play BWV 565, but I've never heard it like this. Truly gives the aural orgasm.
I usually listen to my music at a modest volume, which is difficult to do through my 1964 GE Tube Stereo (pushing effectively 1200Watts of flat sound responsive all the way down to 14Hz). Like the last two comments, and much to the immense dismay of my downstairs neighbors, I cranked this.
