@the13thing thanks. Yeah, I got that idea from Horacio Hernandez. He does this kind of thing with the cowbell, plus all kinds of clave rhythms. He is naturally an amazing latin drummer. Check him out if you haven't already. Thanks for the comment :)

Man I love your snare work, how long did it take you to get those fast snare patterns down? Obviuosly practicing rudiments helps yes?

Hey thanks alot. Yeah pretty much rudiments on a pad, sometimes pillows. To be honest I don't know how long it took me. Practicing rudiments definitely helps. The one that I personally found helpful is rllrllrllrllrrlrrlrrlrrl (in triplets) and keep repeating that. not sure if that rudiments got a name or not, I just saw it demonstrated on a Rick Lathem video ages ago. Hope thats helpful.
